The Casino is a lot more spacious and roomy. The place has recently been under renovations for the last few years and we were more than impressed with the finished results. Stayed Sun and Mon so we were able to put both nights on our 'player' cards and got a great room at a ridiculously low, $39 per night, with a balcony. Got to stay a few nights at the Chumash Casino Resort Hotel last weekend and was suitably impressed with the place. Let's face it, you are there to enjoy, let loose, and gamble so who needs wifi? The only reason I did not give a 5 star rating is the wifi is spotty to non-existent in parts of the hotel and casino. The drive from Los Angeles was so beautiful and only 2 hours away. I never sleep well in hotels and I had one of my best night's sleep at Chumash. My room was very spacious with many amenities lush bathrobes, iron/ironing board, huge t.v., coffee maker. I enjoy table games and made myself at home in the poker room of which, once again, the service was superb.
If slot machines are your adventure, they are plentiful. It is much more than a cafe as the menu selections cover a wide range. I wish I had been able to go to more stations but was full after the Asian and seafood sections. The peel and eat shrimp were large and tasty. From the moment I arrived at the valet parking, I was taken care of.
